National Skin Cancer Action Week

November 15 @ 8:00 AM - November 22 @ 5:00 PM

  • « World Diabetes Day
  • Perinatal Mental Health Week »

National Skin Cancer Action Week is an annual awareness week in Australia dedicated to reminding people about the importance of sun safety and early detection in the fight against skin cancer. Australians have one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world, and this week champions the iconic Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek and Slide sun protection message to encourage protective behaviours whenever the UV level is three or above. The observance is led by Cancer Council Australia in partnership with health organisations to highlight simple but effective prevention steps and support community conversations about reducing risk.
